Decongesting the Nose
Video Overview
This video shows you a typical nasal exam with a review of the nose and turbinates before and after nasal decongestants. Turbinates reside inside nasal cavities. They help the lungs by warming and humidifying the air. The thin skin (mucous layer) on the turbinate helps to filter things like dust and pollen. The nasal septum is the wall that separates the two sides of your nose.
