Because the airway anatomy during wakefulness and sleep can be dramatically different in patients who suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea, an examination of the airway during the sleep state is required for those patients who wish to pursue surgical correction of their Obstructive Sleep Apnea.  The procedure is called Drug Induced Sleep Endoscopy or DISE.  By observing the airway in its obstructed state, Dr. Ludwick can devise a treatment plan for his patients that provides the greatest chances of success.
